People is the area for finding a person or group you plan with. A friend is a saved person connection. A group is a reusable set of people. A planning space is the working view for a person or group.
The current mobile and web experiences are previews. They demonstrate search, friend lists, planning-space rows, group rows, and shared-planning surfaces, but those screens use preview data rather than persisted relationships and collaboration.
What you can explore
- On mobile, open People to browse and search sample people and groups. The Friends screen and person calendar previews also use sample data.
- Select a person or group row to open a planning-space preview with planning items, Tasks, and planning actions.
- On web, open People to view static planning-space rows and a visible search field.
Do not rely on changes in these screens to create a durable friend connection, group, shared Event, or shared Task. Use the status banner and the shared-planning status before treating a control as a released workflow.
