Before you begin

  • An HTTPS ICS calendar URL

Subscribe to an ICS calendar when you want Harmonise to follow a calendar feed without connecting the provider account. Subscribed Events are read-only, and updates arrive periodically rather than immediately.

Before you begin

Paste the complete HTTPS calendar URL supplied by the provider, for example https://example.com/calendar.ics. Do not manually add a username or password to the URL. Provider-issued paths and query parameters may be part of a private feed URL, so treat the complete URL as a secret and do not paste it into support messages or screenshots.

On mobile

  1. Open Settings > Calendars.
  2. Find Subscribed calendars and choose Add subscription.
  3. Enter the Calendar URL, a Subscription name, and a colour.
  4. Choose Save.
  5. Wait for the subscription to move from Connecting to Active and for its Events to appear.

The mobile section may also show Recommended calendars. Choose Browse calendars, filter the verified public catalog, open its details, and choose Add when you find a calendar to follow.

On web

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Find Subscribed calendars and choose Add subscription.
  3. Enter the calendar URL, name, and colour.
  4. Choose Save.
  5. Wait for the status to become Active and for the subscribed Events to appear.

The web Recommended calendars card lets you browse verified public calendars by country, region, language, or category. Choose Details, then Add calendar when you are ready to subscribe.

Manage a subscription

Subscribed calendars are read-only mirrors. They cannot receive new Events, edits, or Tasks from Harmonise.

The status labels explain the current state:

Status Meaning
Connecting Harmonise is checking the URL and loading the first calendar snapshot.
Active The calendar has a current subscription snapshot.
Updates paused Automatic updates are paused, but the current calendar and Events remain.
Paused by plan The current plan allows fewer active subscriptions than are configured.
Needs attention The URL or feed needs a correction or another check.
Removed The subscription has been deleted.

Use the Automatic updates switch to pause or resume refreshes. Pausing keeps existing Events; it does not delete them. Use Prioritize when you want this subscription to use an active slot first if your plan limits how many feeds can stay active.

Choose Refresh for a manual check, or Check status to load the latest subscription state. A recent refresh can temporarily disable Refresh until the next allowed check, so wait for the control or message to become available instead of repeatedly pressing it.

The subscription creates a local Harmonise calendar, so choose Edit to change its displayed name or colour. This does not change the source calendar or provider feed. Choose Delete to remove the subscription and its subscribed Events.

Current plan limits

At the current plan policy, Free allows two active ICS subscriptions and refreshes them about every 12 hours. Pro and Business allow up to 100 active subscriptions and refresh them about every three hours. Direct provider-account limits are separate from subscription limits.

The app’s current plan and availability message are authoritative. If a plan change leaves more subscriptions configured than the plan allows, the extra entries show Paused by plan rather than being deleted. Upgrade or reduce the configured subscriptions, then resume updates when the controls allow it. Existing subscribed Events remain available while a subscription is paused.

If a subscription stops updating

Check the visible status and error message first. Correct the URL if the feed was moved, deleted, or now requires access. If the provider is temporarily unavailable, wait and choose Check status or Refresh after the cooldown. Do not delete and recreate a subscription while a refresh is still processing; that can make it harder to tell whether the original feed recovered.

Never share a private subscription URL, credentials, or a screenshot that exposes them. Share only the safe status text and the feed host when asking for help.
