Meeting Integrations

Connect Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Discord to add managed meeting details to Harmonise Events.

Before you begin

  • A signed-in Harmonise account
  • A supported meeting provider account or a Discord server you can manage

Meeting integrations connect an online-meeting service to Harmonise so an Event can include a managed meeting link or Discord meeting location. A connected provider can create or update meeting details when the provider and Event meet the current requirements.

These three options solve different problems:

Option What it does
Calendar integration Connects a calendar account, subscription, or import so Harmonise can read or synchronize calendar information and Events.
Meeting integration Authorizes a meeting service so Harmonise can create or update managed online meeting details on an Event.
Manually entered meeting link Stores an HTTPS link that you already have. Harmonise keeps it on the Event but does not create or manage the meeting at the provider.

Calendar and meeting connections are separate. Connecting Google Calendar does not automatically authorize Google Meet, and connecting Microsoft Outlook Calendar does not automatically guarantee managed Microsoft Teams meeting creation.

Choose a provider

Provider What you need Guide
Google Meet A supported Google account and Google authorization Connect Google Meet
Zoom A Zoom account and Zoom authorization Connect Zoom
Microsoft Teams A Microsoft work or school account with Teams available Connect Microsoft Teams
Discord A Discord server that you are allowed to manage and an existing voice or stage channel Connect Discord

Connect a meeting provider

Open Settings, select Integrations, and find Meeting providers. For Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams, select Connect account. For Discord, select Add to server and follow the Discord authorization flow.

Each provider handles its own sign-in and authorization. Harmonise does not need your Google, Zoom, Microsoft, or Discord password. When a provider row says This provider is not configured or This provider is currently unavailable, connection is not available in the current Harmonise environment yet.

Use a meeting with an Event

When a provider connection or Discord installation is ready:

  1. Create or edit an Event.
  2. Find Online meeting.
  3. Choose the connected provider, account, or Discord server.
  4. For Discord, choose Create Discord scheduled event, Create temporary invite, or both when those options are available.
  5. Save the Event.

The available choices depend on the active connection, account or server permissions, Event timing, recurrence, and provider rules. Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Discord can each have different requirements. See the provider guides before changing an Event that has a managed meeting attached.

Availability and limitations

Meeting-provider controls are present in the current mobile apps, but a provider is not necessarily enabled for every Harmonise user. The available state can depend on the provider, the connected account, organization restrictions, the current Harmonise environment, and a provider outage.

Meeting-provider setup is for signed-in users; the public website does not provide meeting-provider connection settings.

Disconnect a provider

Open the provider’s connected account or Discord server row in Meeting providers and select Disconnect. If a provider later needs attention, use Reconnect when it is shown, or connect the account again. Disconnecting one meeting provider does not disconnect your calendar accounts or other meeting providers.
