Before you begin

  • A Yahoo Calendar account
  • A Yahoo-generated app password

Yahoo Calendar connects directly to Harmonise through a Yahoo email address and a Yahoo-generated app password. It lets Harmonise discover Yahoo calendars, show their Events, and send supported Event changes when Yahoo grants edit access.

Before you begin

Create a Yahoo-generated app password in your Yahoo account security settings. Use that app password in Harmonise, not your normal Yahoo account password. Keep the app password private and revoke it in Yahoo when you no longer want Harmonise to access the account.

Yahoo accounts share the direct provider-account allowance with Google, Outlook, Apple, and CalDAV. You can add multiple accounts when your current plan allows it. If Add another account is unavailable, the current plan allowance or provider availability may be the reason. A plan change can pause an existing connection without deleting its Yahoo calendars or Events.

On mobile

  1. Open Settings > Calendars.
  2. Under Calendar integrations, choose Connect Yahoo Calendar.
  3. In the connection form, enter Yahoo email and App password.
  4. Choose Connect Yahoo Calendar and wait for the account card and calendar discovery to finish.

On web

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Under Calendar integrations, choose Connect Yahoo Calendar.
  3. Enter Yahoo email and App password.
  4. Choose Connect Yahoo Calendar and wait for the account card to reload.

After connecting

The account card can show Pending, Connected, Error, Revoked, or Paused by plan. The account may initially show Pending while Harmonise verifies the connection and discovers calendars.

In Calendars, choose Edit to set Visible or Hidden, turn Sync on or off, and choose Save. Use the connected account card’s mapping controls separately when you need to choose a destination. Use Manage connected calendars for the difference between Refresh calendars and Sync now, and Map an external calendar to Harmonise for destination choices.

Yahoo calendars with view-only access are read-only. Writable Yahoo calendars can receive supported Event creates, edits, and deletions. On web, open a writable Event and choose Edit event; recurring changes may ask which occurrences to change. Exact fields depend on Yahoo’s permissions and the Event.

Choose Refresh calendars after Yahoo adds, removes, shares, or changes a calendar. Choose Sync now when Events in an existing, sync-enabled calendar are stale. Provider processing can delay an update.

Reconnect or revoke access

If the app password is rejected, create a new Yahoo-generated app password and choose Replace credentials when it is shown. If the account is Error or Revoked, disconnect the Yahoo account if necessary and reconnect it with the same Yahoo identity and the new app password.

To stop provider access completely, choose Disconnect in Harmonise and revoke the app password in Yahoo account security settings. Never send the app password to support or enter your normal Yahoo password when the form asks for an app password.
