Connect Apple Calendar

Apple Calendar connects through iCloud Calendar access. It uses an Apple ID email and an Apple-generated app-specific password rather than the Google or Microsoft browser-consent flow.

Before you begin

In your Apple Account security settings, create an app-specific password for Harmonise. Apple normally requires two-factor authentication before app-specific passwords are available.

Use the email address for your Apple Account and the generated app-specific password. Never enter your normal Apple Account password, device passcode, or verification code into Harmonise.

You can connect multiple provider accounts when your current plan allows it. Google, Outlook, Apple, Yahoo, and CalDAV accounts share the direct-account allowance. If another account cannot be added, review the plan message in Settings. A plan change can pause an existing connection without deleting its provider calendars or Events.

On mobile

1. Open Settings > Calendars.
2. Choose Connect Apple Calendar.
3. In Connect Apple Calendar, enter Apple ID email.
4. Enter the App-specific password generated by Apple.
5. Choose Connect Apple Calendar and wait for the account card and calendars to load.

On web

1. Open Settings.
2. Under Calendar integrations, choose Connect Apple Calendar.
3. Enter Apple ID email and App-specific password.
4. Choose Connect Apple Calendar and wait for the Settings page to reload the connection.

After connecting

The account card can show Pending, Connected, Error, Revoked, or Paused by plan. The account may initially show Pending while Harmonise verifies the connection and discovers iCloud calendars.

Review the imported calendars under Calendars. Use Edit to set Visible or Hidden, turn Sync on or off, and choose Save. Use the connected account card’s mapping controls separately when you need to choose a destination. See Manage connected calendars and Map an external calendar to Harmonise.

Apple controls an external calendar’s name and colour. Change them in Apple Calendar, then choose Refresh calendars in Harmonise. Only calendars created in Harmonise can be renamed or recoloured in Harmonise.

Harmonise can synchronize supported Event details when the iCloud calendar is writable. Read-only calendars cannot receive changes. Writable Apple Events can be created, edited, or deleted from Harmonise; on web, choose Edit event from a writable Event. Recurring changes may ask which occurrences to change, and provider permissions can limit the choices.

Use Refresh calendars when an iCloud calendar or permission changes. Use Sync now when Events in an existing, sync-enabled calendar are stale. Provider processing can delay an update.

Disconnect or repair

Choose Disconnect in Harmonise to stop the complete Apple account connection. If credentials are rejected or access was revoked, create a new app-specific password, disconnect the broken connection if needed, and reconnect with the Apple ID email. You can also revoke the old app-specific password in Apple Account settings.
