Connect Zoom
Authorize Zoom so Harmonise can create and update managed Zoom meetings on timed Events.
Before you begin
- A signed-in Harmonise account
- A Zoom account that can create meetings
- Zoom available for your Harmonise environment
A Zoom connection lets Harmonise create a participant-facing Zoom meeting for an Event and update it when supported Event details change. Zoom authorization is handled by Zoom; Harmonise does not need your Zoom password or Zoom API credentials.
Before you start
You need a Zoom account that is allowed to create meetings. The account’s Zoom plan or organization settings can still limit what Zoom will accept.
Connect Zoom
Open Settings, select Integrations, and find Meeting providers.
- Find the Zoom provider row.
- Select Connect account.
- When Zoom opens, sign in to the Zoom account you want to use.
- Review Zoom’s authorization request and approve it.
- Return to Harmonise and wait for the Zoom account row to appear as connected.
If Zoom is shown as not configured or currently unavailable, the provider is not ready in the current Harmonise environment. Connecting a Zoom account cannot bypass that state.
Add Zoom to an Event
- Create or edit an Event.
- Make sure the Event has a start and end time. Zoom managed meetings do not support all-day Events.
- Select Online meeting and choose Zoom.
- Choose the Zoom account if Harmonise shows more than one.
- Save the Event.
Harmonise creates the Zoom meeting and puts its participant join link on the Event. The Event calendar connection and Zoom connection are separate, so changing the Event calendar does not automatically change the Zoom account.
Zoom timing and recurrence limits
The Event duration must be between 1 and 1,440 minutes. If the Event is shorter, longer, or all-day, Harmonise will not allow a managed Zoom meeting to be created.
Zoom repeat rules are limited to the recurrence shapes the integration can represent. Daily, weekly, and monthly patterns are supported when their details fit Zoom’s rules. Yearly patterns, exclusion-based rules, and other complex or unsupported combinations may be rejected. If a provider choice is disabled, simplify the Event’s repeat rule or use a manually entered meeting link.
When you edit a supported timed Event, Harmonise can update the managed Zoom meeting while the Zoom connection is active. A provider or recurrence restriction can reduce the changes that are offered.
If Zoom authorization is revoked
The Zoom account row may show that it needs attention or offer Reconnect. Select Reconnect, sign in to Zoom again, review the request, and return to Harmonise. If Reconnect is not shown, choose Connect account and authorize the account again.
Until authorization is restored, Harmonise may be unable to create or update a managed Zoom meeting. If you already have a Zoom link, choose Meeting link on the Event and paste its absolute HTTPS URL. Harmonise stores that link but does not manage the Zoom meeting behind it.
Disconnect Zoom
In Meeting providers, find the connected Zoom account and select Disconnect. Confirm the action. Connect the account again when you want to create or update managed Zoom meetings in Harmonise.
If Zoom rejects a meeting because of account permissions, plan limits, or a temporary provider problem, resolve that issue in Zoom and then use Reconnect or retry the Event from Harmonise.
