Messaging Integrations

Telegram is a messaging route into Harmonise. After you connect the intended bot conversation, supported commands can create Events and Tasks, show bounded planning views, and deliver selected Harmonise updates.

Telegram does not create a separate calendar or Task list. Plans remain in Harmonise, and you can use the app whenever you need to browse, edit, or review more detail than a conversation can safely show.

What you can do

Before you connect

This connection links one Telegram conversation to your signed-in Harmonise account. It does not create a new calendar in Telegram or another external provider. If you want to use an existing external calendar, use the relevant calendar connection or import workflow in Harmonise.

Connect Telegram

Harmonise uses a short-lived, single-use linking command:

/start example-link-token

The real command contains a temporary token. Keep the complete command private, send it only to the intended Harmonise bot conversation, and use it before it expires. Copying the command does not prove that the bot, webhook, or outbound delivery service is available. An expired or already-used command must be replaced with a new one.

On mobile

1. Open Settings and choose Messaging integrations.
2. Choose Connect Telegram.
3. Choose Open Telegram when it is available, or copy the displayed command.
4. Send the complete /start command to the intended Harmonise bot conversation before it expires.
5. Return to Harmonise and choose Check connection when needed. The open connection sheet can also check while it is visible.
6. When Telegram is active, review the integration settings.

On web

1. Open Settings and find Messaging integrations.
2. Choose Connect Telegram.
3. Choose Open Telegram when it is available, or copy the displayed command.
4. Send the complete /start command to the intended Harmonise bot conversation before it expires.
5. Return to Harmonise and choose Check connection when needed.
6. When the card shows an active connection, review the integration settings.

The Open Telegram action depends on a Telegram destination being configured for that Harmonise environment. You can copy the command and send it from another device, but keep it private while you do so.

Telegram commands

The supported command vocabulary is:

/start	Shows the connection state in an already connected conversation.
/help	Shows the supported Telegram actions and a controlled Task example.
/status	Reports the Telegram connection and relevant integration settings.
/unlink	Starts the confirmed Telegram disconnect flow.
/create_task	Starts guided Task creation.
/create_event	Starts guided Event creation.
/cancel	Stops an active guided flow or preview.
/today	Shows a bounded view for the current local day.
/tasks	Shows bounded active Task views.
/task ...	Prepares a Task using controlled syntax.

Unknown slash-prefixed commands are rejected safely and are not treated as natural-language planning requests. Send /help to see the supported commands.

/confirm is a supported text fallback for an active preview. It is normally not shown as a Telegram menu command because inline Create and Cancel buttons are the usual confirmation interface. Command names use lowercase letters and underscores, such as /create_task, not /createTask.

The visible Telegram command menu depends on the deployed Harmonise environment and may lag behind a backend deployment. When a supported handler is available, you can type its documented command manually even if Telegram has not updated the menu yet. A menu entry alone is not proof that the corresponding service is available.

Use the intended direct bot conversation. Adding the bot to a Telegram group does not give group members access to the connected Harmonise account; group conversations require a separate product and privacy setup and are not a general connection method.

Guided creation

/create_task and /create_event are deterministic, guided flows. They do not ask a language model to guess the next field.

1. Send /create_task or /create_event by itself.
2. Enter the requested details one step at a time, such as a title, calendar, date or time, and any optional reminder, recurrence, or location that the flow asks for.
3. Harmonise builds a preview from your answers.
4. Review the preview and choose Create, or use /confirm as the text fallback. Choose Cancel or send /cancel to stop.

Only one active guided creation conversation should be handled at a time. If a request is already active, finish it or send /cancel before starting another. Answers sent during a guided flow are treated as answers to that flow, not as new natural-language planning requests.

The Task flow collects Task details such as the title, calendar, due or scheduled timing, reminders, and recurrence when those details are needed. The Event flow collects the title, calendar, timed or all-day choice, date and time, and optional location, reminders, or recurrence. The exact questions depend on the information already provided.

Natural-language creation

Natural-language creation is separate from guided commands. Create events and tasks is the setting shown by the current mobile and web clients for ordinary natural-language planning requests. Whether natural-language creation can run also depends on the saved preference, the required paid entitlement, whether entitlement verification is available, assistant availability, and current usage and rate limits. An ordinary message such as:

Create a Task to send the report by Friday at 4:00 PM.

may be interpreted as a planning request. Harmonise may ask clarification questions, then presents a preview before it creates anything.

This capability requires all of the following:

• the saved Create events and tasks preference is enabled;
• the relevant paid entitlement is active;
• entitlement verification is available;
• the assistant capability is available in the deployed environment; and
• the request is within current usage and rate limits.

Natural-language processing can be temporarily unavailable while Telegram itself remains connected. The mobile and web Settings screens currently expose a general preference switch; they do not expose every entitlement or capability reason. Use /create_task, /create_event, or /task when ordinary natural-language processing is unavailable. Deterministic slash commands do not depend on natural-language interpretation in the same way.

Controlled /task

/task is a deterministic command with a fixed syntax. For example:

/task Buy milk /due tomorrow 6pm /calendar Personal /remind 30m

You can quote values that contain spaces. Supported switches include /description, /due, /schedule, /duration, /calendar, /remind, /remind_due, /remind_start, /repeat, and /subtask. A controlled Task request produces a preview before creation. If the syntax is malformed or a switch is unsupported, Telegram returns syntax guidance; it does not pass the malformed command to natural-language interpretation.

Planning views

/today

/today shows a bounded view for the current day in your Harmonise account timezone. Depending on the data, it can include Event occurrences, scheduled Tasks, due Tasks, overdue active Tasks, and recurring occurrences. Events and Task sections can be paginated independently.

/tasks

/tasks shows bounded pages of active Tasks, including scheduled and due work and eligible recurring occurrences. It is not an unlimited calendar browser or an unrestricted history search.

Planner messages can offer Previous, Next, and Refresh navigation. Eligible Task rows can offer Done. Open actions are limited: they depend on a configured destination and a supported client, so use Harmonise directly when an Open action is unavailable or fails. Large, invalid, or unsupported views may ask you to open Harmonise for a narrower or safer view.

Status, help, and disconnect

• /help lists the supported actions and shows the controlled Task syntax.
• /status reports whether Telegram is connected and shows relevant preferences, summary time, and timezone information.
• /unlink asks you to confirm before disconnecting Telegram. It stops new protected Telegram commands and notifications; it does not delete your Harmonise account, Events, Tasks, Inbox items, or unrelated settings.

After /unlink, create and consume a new /start <link-token> command before using Telegram again.

Inbox notifications

Turn on Inbox notifications to use Telegram as an additional delivery channel. Receiving a message does not mark the Inbox item as read, accepted, dismissed, approved, completed, or otherwise acted upon. Open Harmonise when an action is unavailable or unsafe in Telegram. Turning off Inbox notifications or Daily summary changes delivery only; it does not delete the underlying Plan.

Daily summaries

Turn on Daily summary and choose a local Summary time in the Telegram integration. Both mobile and web describe this time as using your Harmonise account timezone. The next scheduled delivery is shown in Settings when the environment provides it.

A summary can include relevant timed and all-day Events, scheduled or due Tasks, overdue work, and Inbox counts where supported. It is a planning view, not a second copy of the calendar. A delayed Telegram delivery does not change the underlying Plan times. Changing your account timezone can change the local time of the next scheduled summary, so check the timezone and saved summary time after a timezone change or a recent integration reconfiguration.

Telegram Settings do not currently expose editing for daily-summary templates.

Open actions and client limits

Some Telegram messages may include Open actions for persisted Events and Tasks, but those links are not guaranteed in every deployment or client. If an Open action is missing or fails, sign in to Harmonise and find the Event or Task in the app. Normal Harmonise authorization still applies. Deleted, inaccessible, or otherwise unavailable Plans cannot be opened; do not use a failed link to infer whether a private Plan exists.

Availability and privacy

Telegram remains a limited integration. Availability can depend on the Telegram bot and command-menu configuration, webhook configuration, enabled backend capabilities, required workers, outbound delivery, paid entitlement for natural-language processing, rate limits, and current deployment certification. Source code or a generated link command alone does not certify live Telegram delivery.

Telegram transports the messages. Harmonise performs authorization and creates the Event or Task under the linked account. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, API keys, access tokens, financial credentials, or unrelated private secrets to the bot. Harmonise does not treat a Telegram message as proof that a more sensitive action is safe; use the app when a review or approval is needed.

Common problems

Open Telegram is unavailable

The current environment may not have a Telegram destination configured. Copy the command and send it to the intended bot only when you know that destination, or use Telegram after the environment has been enabled.

The linking command expired

Return to Messaging integrations, choose Connect Telegram, and create a new linking command. Do not edit or reuse the expired token.

I sent the command, but the connection is still pending

Confirm that the entire /start <link-token> command was sent to the correct Harmonise bot conversation. Return to Harmonise and choose Check connection. If it remains pending, the bot or delivery service may not be available in the current environment.

A guided command was not recognized

Possible causes include:

• the deployed environment has not received the latest command handlers;
• the Telegram command menu is outdated;
• Telegram is connected to a different Harmonise environment; or
• the command spelling is incorrect.

Use lowercase commands with underscores, such as:

/create_task

not:

/createTask

Natural-language creation is unavailable

Check the Create events and tasks switch and try again later. Possible causes include:

• the feature switch is off;
• the required paid entitlement is not active;
• entitlement verification is temporarily unavailable;
• the assistant capability is temporarily unavailable;
• a usage or rate limit has been reached; or
• the request is not supported.

Use /create_task, /create_event, /task, or the Harmonise app when appropriate.

There is nothing to confirm

The preview may have expired, been cancelled, already been handled, or still be waiting for a clarification answer. Finish the active questions, start a new request, or send /cancel before trying again.

The daily summary arrived at the wrong time

Check your Harmonise account timezone, the saved Summary time, whether the integration was recently reconfigured, and the Next summary value shown in Settings when available.

An Open action fails

You may need to sign in to Harmonise. Deleted, inaccessible, or unavailable Plans cannot be opened. If the link does not work, open Harmonise directly and locate the Event or Task there. A failed link does not reveal whether an inaccessible private Plan exists.

I received a duplicate-looking Telegram message

Provider delivery can be retried. Check Harmonise before submitting the same creation request again, especially after a delayed confirmation or response.
