Connect Google Meet
Authorize Google Meet separately so Harmonise can add managed Meet links to Events.
Before you begin
- A signed-in Harmonise account
- A Google account that can use Google Meet
- Google Meet available for your Harmonise environment
A Google Meet connection lets Harmonise create managed Google Meet details for an Event. Google Meet authorization is separate from calendar synchronization: a connected Google Calendar does not by itself give Harmonise authorization to create managed Meet meetings.
Before you start
Use a Google account that can use Google Meet. If you have more than one Google account, be ready to choose the account you want Harmonise to use. Google may show an authorization screen before the connection is complete.
Harmonise does not ask you to send or type your Google password. Google handles sign-in and authorization on Google’s own pages.
Connect Google Meet
Open Settings, select Integrations, and find Meeting providers.
- Find the Google Meet provider row.
- Select Connect account.
- When Google opens, sign in or choose the Google account you want to connect.
- Review the request to let Harmonise create Google Meet meeting details, then approve it.
- Return to Harmonise and wait for the Google Meet account row to appear as connected.
If the provider row says This provider is not configured or This provider is currently unavailable, Google Meet connection is not enabled in the current Harmonise environment. The button may remain unavailable until that state changes.
Add Google Meet to an Event
- Create or edit an Event.
- Select Online meeting.
- Choose Google Meet, then choose the Google Meet account if Harmonise shows more than one.
- Save the Event.
Harmonise creates the managed Meet details and attaches the participant meeting link to the Event. The Event’s calendar account and Google Meet account are separate; changing the Event calendar does not automatically change its Meet connection.
You can keep a physical location and an online meeting on the same Event. If you already have a link from somewhere else, choose Meeting link instead and enter the absolute HTTPS URL; that link is stored on the Event but is not remotely managed by Harmonise.
If Google authorization is revoked
An account row may show that it needs attention or offer Reconnect. Select Reconnect, complete Google’s authorization again, and return to Harmonise. Use the same Google account if you want existing meeting choices to continue using that account. If Reconnect is not shown, choose Connect account and authorize the account again.
Until authorization is restored, Harmonise may be unable to create or change a managed Meet meeting. A manually entered HTTPS link remains a separate option.
Disconnect Google Meet
In Meeting providers, find the connected Google Meet account and select Disconnect. Confirm the action. To use managed Google Meet meetings again, connect a Google account again.
Disconnecting Harmonise does not delete your Google account. When a managed Meet meeting is removed or no longer used, its meeting space may also remain in Google. Manage any meeting space you no longer need from Google.
